Have My Say, Hear Me Out
Worcestershire Safeguarding Children’s Board (WSCB)

Multi Media Project

Children's Services staff, digital artists and WSCB Young People's Panel worked as a creative team to create a DVD based resource promoting the value of young people being at the centre of their child protection meetings.

The team looked at how, using multi media, the whole safeguarding process can be made more ‘young person friendly’ and the project will provide a platform for young people to use creative approaches to explain the changes and improvements to the processes they would like.

The DVD will be used on a roadshow tour of Worcestershire for professionals from Health, Education and Social Care settings to give a voice to children and young people who have experienced Child Protection Proceedings.

Later in the year, the Young People's Panel will create a second DVD aimed at children and young people to inform and prepare them for their Child Protection meetings.
