Wickhamford Film Making Workshops

During February 2011, young people attending Wickhamford Youth Club had the opportunity to participate in some practical, imaginative and enjoyable film making workshops. Under the supervision of experienced film makers, participants were able to develop their very own cinematic ideas and after five weeks created a film fit for the big screen!

The workshops delivered a very hands-on experience and allowed those participating to be involved in all aspects of the film making process. The young people decided to fuse a collection of weird and wonderful ideas within a 'sketch show' format, using green screen technology to place budding actors within illustrated backgrounds!

It was fun and great to do something different - Josh, aged 11

I thought it was really cool that we got to use green screen and that we did everything ourselves - Archie, aged 12

Its been really fun and challenging - Robin, aged 9

It was a great experience, the green screen was the best. I'd definitely do it again - Glen, aged 12
