Wychavon
Youth Bus
Dave Hemming, Community Safety Manager in Wychavon wanted to find a dynamic way of responding to the needs of young people in rural villages around Wychavon. Dave found a 'retired' coach that needed a makeover, he put together successful funding applications and acquired the coach and with the support of enthusiastic colleagues led by Rob Mace (Youth Service Manager) consulted with young people in the regions rural community.
Over a short period of just a few months the coach was transformed into a mobile Youth Bus that has excellent multi media facilities on board and also doubles as an outdoor performance space fully equipped with staging, light and sound.
Film Making and Photography Workshops
Working with the youth bus we will be running photography and film making workshops in Honeybourne, Ourside and Wickhamford between September 2010 and March 2011. All of the work produced in the sessions will come together in a multi media exhibition which will tour the county on the youth bus in March 2011.
