Street Dance Workshops

A new programme of street dance workshops is being delivered to young people by the well known dancer and choreographer Shaun Cope, as a response to the need to engage high school boys boys.

The sessions started with young people from North and South Bromsgrove High schools and they are now being offered to other schools in the area including Waseley Hills. The sessions at Waseley Hills High School are for Year's Nine and Ten Boys and run every Tuesday during their PE lessons and as an after school workshop, between 1:10pm and 4:30pm. The aim is to continue running the sessions and expand the workshops to more schools in the near future.

If you would like any further information on the Waseley Hills workshops please contact Jay Holtom on jholtom@waseleyhills.worcs.sch.uk.

The Artrix venue is also becoming involved in the project by hosting community dance workshops and we are planning for performances to take place there and also link into the regional cultural calendar.
