North Bromsgrove High School host a day of activities for the local community!

North Bromsgrove High School have a wonderful new building which they want to see used by the local community.

On Saturday 17th October 2009 they opened their doors to the local community and hosted a taster day full of creative activities. The day gave members of the community the chance to come and have a go at workshops including card making, silk painting, digital media, dance, music, and singing.

"The Arts Extend project gives us the confidence to try new activities which we hope will become sustainable in the near future" Steve Cowpethwaite, Deputy Head Teacher at North Bromsgrove High School.

As a result of this successful day Community Thursdays was created, which is a weekly event where North Bromsgrove High Schools hosts a variety of activities bringing members of the wider community together to learn new skills and have fun!

Community Thursdays run weekly at North Bromsgrove High School from 4:00pm to 7:00pm the sessions are as follows:

Arts and Crafts (for all ages) 4:00pm – 5:00pm

Samba Drumming (for all ages) 5:15pm – 6:00pm

Community Choir (for all ages) 6:00pm – 7:00pm
