The Forum, Malvern Theatres, voices and Visions Showcase

Wednesday 7th July to Friday 9th July 2010

Worcestershire Arts Education is proud to announce the twelfth year of the hugely popular Voices and Visions arts festival. This diverse and exciting programme is an opportunity for children and young people across the county to exhibit, perform, and celebrate their achievements.

The Voices and Visions festival began with an Art Exhibition which was held in the cloisters of Worcester Cathedral from Friday 28th May to Sunday 27th June. The Exhibition was open to the public during normal Cathedral hours and admission was free.

The Exhibition illustrated the breadth of talent that exists in our schools and included photography, sculpture, textiles, graphics, drawing, painting and mixed media. This was a unique opportunity for the public to appreciate and enjoy the range of artwork created by children and young people across the county.

Voices and Visions has gained national recognition for its quality and diversity and we are proud of the number of schools who have been successful in their application for Artsmark, the award that acknowledges the importance that schools place on learning and teaching in the arts.

The Voices and Visions festival continues in July, when for three nights Malvern Theatres will play host to Dance, Music and Performing Arts Showcases featuring nearly 1000 school children.
