The Malvern Time Capsule

Capturing Malvern 2010

Children, teachers and parents are attending creative sessions at various schools, they are expressing their ideas about their local community and learning new skills. They are making short historic podcasts using film, animation, photography, audio, and music and placing their work in a time capsule that is going into the new community hospital currently under construction.

Grove Primary School hosted the first session in March and Malvern Parish Primary School hosted the second session on Tuesday 15th June. This session involved working with children and staff from years 3, 4, 5 and 6 and a twilight for staff and community group leaders.

We would like to encourage the Malvern community to get involved in this project and produce work to place in the time capsule.

Supported by professionals the outcomes provide an excellent representation of Malvern, it’s people and their ideas in 2010 and those of us still around in 2048 will see the capsule opened at a special event to mark the 100 year anniversary of the foundation of the NHS.
