They have been hosting a series of after school creative family learning sessions to help engage parents in activities. Each session has seen professional artists, parents and pupils working together to produce very innovative outcomes which can be achieved at home.
' This project is about having fun with digital media with a family friendly approach that takes the mystery away from technology, the children have been able to help their parents learn new skills and parents are getting more confident each week' Mark White, Digital Artist
The project has involved every child in the school working with a range of digital artists and has included professional development sessions with the staff team to help embed the creative approaches in the classroom across the whole curriculum.
' I am very proud of how the children are working together and producing such an excellent standard of work, we are using our computers in new creative ways and through this project we are engaging more parents in the life of our school' Sue Warner, Head Teacher
