'Peace by Piece'...one piece at a time!
'Peace by Piece' is a beautiful community project designed by people from the local community of Stanley Road Primary School.
The Old Laundry Arts Room at Stanley Road Primary School opens its doors every Thursday morning between 9:30am and 11:30am. People from the local community are currently using this time to create fabric squares which will come together with squares made by the children from the school to create 6 beautiful panels to be exhibited at the 'Peace Picnic' on Friday 25th June. The children, parents, grand parents, and the local community have all been involved in this project, which has been running since April. They have been working with local artist, Anna Yelland to create the squares. You can come and see these beautiful pieces of art at the 'peace picnic' at 12:30pm on Friday 25th June at Fort Royal Park, Worcester.
The Old Laundry Arts Room will begin a new project in September and everyone's welcome, feel free to come every Thursday morning, 9:30am - 11:30am. Come and make friends and enjoy free tea and coffee!
