The Chill Festival

The Chill rocked Cripplegate Park in Worcester with live music from great young bands, arts and crafts workshops, face painting, a skate park, an ice rink, t-shirt printing, graffiti and mural painting. Youthcomm Radio broadcast on location the music and atmosphere to their audience.

Documenting the event using photography, film and audio young people from St Johns Youth Centre developed their journalist skills by working alongside industry professionals to cover all aspects of the event. Young people also played an important part in the management of the event, by supporting Becky Maynard, (the event organiser) and contributing to the organising and planning of the day.

This short film presents the highlights of the Chill Festival event in December 2009. Young people played a central role in all apects of the event from performing to event management.
