Chadsgrove School Creative Workshops
Chadsgrove School in Bromsgrove held creative workshops for pupils and their families. Following a successful pilot scheme launched in May 2010, the weekly sessions began in February 2011 and ran for eight weeks.
The project encouraged siblings to take part, allowing them to work together and provide the opportunity to network with other young people. The sessions introduced the pupils to new skills in film-making, photography, animation, podcasts and radio.
One of the outcomes of these workshops was a fun and imaginative film focusing on surviving in the rainforest! The pupils decided to use the media skills that they had learned - specifically green screen and audio technology - as well as their own artistic flair to create their very own piece of moving image.
